Rob Paterson

General Manager - Programs

Rob is responsible for the delivery and overall success of all key projects undertaken by Southern Launch. His goal is to ensure every program is delivered on time, budget, and adds the highest possible value to the organisation. In order to meet the company’s strategic objectives, Rob is also responsible for ensuring that the project resources are sized and allocated to meet our future growth demands.

Rob joins Southern Launch having over 25 years’ experience in the Aerospace industry. He was educated in the UK and studied both Production and Aerospace Engineering. Furthermore, Rob has completed a Master of Business Administration and a Diploma in Project Management as a postgraduate.

Rob started his career in Scotland with British Aerospace before moving to the south coast to work with a flight operations company involved with Electronic Warfare training and target towing services to the UK Navy and Air Force. Rob has also worked on several aircraft special role programs, which was what initially brought him to Australia – a 3-week business trip that turned into 15 years!

Since moving to South Australia with his family, Rob has been involved with several significant aircraft modification programs for clients including Australian Border Force, Australian Safety Maritime Authority, and the clients within the Mining Sector.

Rob enjoys many hobbies including cycling, camping, kayaking, and fishing.
