Electro-Optical & Infrared Tracking Systems
The Electro-Optical & Infrared Tracking Systems Engineer will develop, integrate and support Southern Launch’s electro-optical and infrared tracking capabilities across its launch range operations. The role will focus on the engineering and performance of optical and thermal imaging systems, precision pointing equipment, tracking software and associated data interfaces used to monitor launch vehicles and spacecraft.
Working across systems engineering, hardware and software integration, testing and operational support, you will help deliver reliable tracking capabilities that complement other range instrumentation. Your work will support the availability of accurate, timely data to inform mission assurance, range safety and operational decision-making.

Systems Engineer
The Systems Engineer will provide the systems engineering discipline required to ensure Southern Launch’s launch ranges, infrastructure and mission systems are designed, developed and operated as an integrated capability.
Taking a whole-of-system approach, you will work across engineering disciplines to define requirements, develop system architectures, manage interfaces and ensure individual systems work together effectively. You will support the development of new capabilities, the integration of existing assets and the ongoing evolution of Southern Launch’s operating environment.
These roles will suit engineers who can move between technical detail and broader system-level thinking, ensuring engineering decisions remain aligned with operational needs, reliability and long-term capability development.
Network Engineer
The Network Engineer will design, implement and maintain the network and communications infrastructure supporting Southern Launch’s geographically distributed operations. The role will focus on delivering reliable, secure and resilient connectivity between operational sites, mission systems and corporate infrastructure.
You will develop network architectures that support real-time data exchange, remote system access and the integration of complex engineering and operational technologies. Working across network design, implementation, performance monitoring and cybersecurity, you will help ensure communications infrastructure remains reliable, scalable and fit for purpose as Southern Launch’s operations evolve.

Instrumentation & Sensor Systems Engineer
The Instrumentation & Sensor Systems Engineer will develop, integrate and support the instrumentation and sensing capabilities used across Southern Launch’s launch ranges and operational facilities. The role will focus on identifying the right technical solutions for operational requirements and ensuring instrumentation is reliable, maintainable and effectively integrated with wider mission systems.
Working across sensors, data acquisition, positioning, timing, communications and supporting software, you will contribute to the selection, deployment, testing and sustainment of range instrumentation. You will also help improve the consistency of engineering solutions, optimise the use of equipment and strengthen Southern Launch’s internal capability to support its systems throughout their lifecycle.

Project Manager (Infrastructure)
The Infrastructure Project Manager will lead the planning and delivery of civil, structural, building, utilities and other physical infrastructure projects supporting Southern Launch’s operational facilities and future development.
Reporting to the General Manager – Infrastructure, you will manage projects from approved scope and design coordination through procurement, construction, commissioning, handover and closeout. You will work closely with engineering teams, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders to deliver infrastructure that meets operational requirements, technical standards, safety obligations and approved project objectives.
These positions offer the opportunity to manage diverse infrastructure projects in a growing technical and operational environment, balancing competing priorities while maintaining strong control of schedule, cost, scope, quality and delivery risk.

Project Manager (Mission Systems)
The Project Manager (Mission Systems) will lead the coordinated delivery of engineering projects across Southern Launch’s mission systems, instrumentation, tracking, telemetry, communications and associated technical infrastructure.
Reporting to the General Manager – Mission Engineering, you will translate approved engineering requirements into structured delivery plans, coordinating schedules, budgets, procurement, suppliers, risks, dependencies and integration activities. Working closely with specialist engineers and Infrastructure Project Managers, you will ensure engineering capabilities and their supporting physical infrastructure are delivered in a coordinated and operationally effective manner.
The role will provide the project management discipline needed to progress complex technical initiatives while allowing engineering specialists to focus on system architecture, design, integration and technical assurance.

Mission Manager
The Mission Manager is responsible for developing, coordinating and managing the operational processes required to deliver safe, compliant and effective launch and spacecraft re-entry campaigns at Southern Launch. Working closely with customers, internal operational teams and external stakeholders, the role ensures mission requirements are translated into practical operational plans, supported by appropriate documentation, approvals and risk controls.
The role will coordinate activities throughout the campaign lifecycle, from initial planning and regulatory preparation through operational readiness, execution and closeout. This includes developing operational procedures, coordinating technical and regulatory requirements, managing stakeholder interfaces and ensuring activities are aligned with applicable safety, security and compliance obligations.
This is a coordination-focused role suited to someone who can combine strong operational planning, technical documentation and stakeholder management skills within a dynamic, highly regulated environment.

Project Manager
The Project Manager will coordinate the planning and delivery of launch and spacecraft re-entry activities, ensuring operational projects are executed safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved schedules, budgets and customer requirements.
Working across engineering, range operations, mission systems, infrastructure, customers and external service providers, the role will translate mission requirements into coordinated operational plans and manage the activities, resources, dependencies and risks required for successful delivery. The position will oversee projects through operational preparation, readiness, execution and closeout, ensuring teams are aligned and critical deliverables are achieved.
This is a hands-on project management role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic, technically complex environment and can coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage competing priorities and maintain delivery focus around time-critical operational milestones.
